  • TS Overlay & Logitech G15 TS Plug-In Information

    OK, due to a request to post the download info here, here you go lol.

    TeamSpeak Overlay Homepage - http://www.TeamSpeakOverlay.com
    Full Installer (Build 83) - Download Link Here
    Builds 58 & 61 Upgrade to Current Build (63) - Download Link Here

    I apologize for using Rapidshare, but the TSO website does not allow anybody to hotlink to links on their site.  Just click on the Free User on the Rapidshare links.  If you don't wish to go through the Rapidshare links, feel free to go to the TeamSpeak Overlay site and download the program directly from there.

    ----- How to Install -----

    1. Run the Installer (if you are reading this, you will have already done so )
    2. Run TSO from the Start Menu Shortcut.
    3. Select "Options" to configure TSO. Ensure that at minimum your TeamSpeak
    "Nickname" is set correctly.
    4. Close the Options.
    5. Select "Enable" from the Main Menu
    6. Run the Chosen DirectX 7, 8 or 9, or OpenGL 1 game. The TSO display should appear
    atop of the game display.

    ----- Command-line Switches -----

    /AUTO - Start TSO up automatically.
    /NOBETAWARNING - Supress the BETA Version warning message.

    Note that the two switches can be combined to start TSO up silently,
    although it is not recommended. Please ensure that TSO is configured suitably
    before utilizing either of these switches.

    ----- Specific issues with certain games -----

    The following are known issues and workarounds for certain games:

    To get 'Raven Shield' to work correctly:
    The "Use Alternate DirectX Method" option should be **OFF** (this is the Default).

    To get 'Battlefield: Vietnam', 'Battlefield 2', 'Call of Duty 2' and 'E.V.E'
    to work with TSO:
    The "Use Alternate DirectX Method" option should be **ON**.

    To change the "Use Alternate DirectX Method" option:
    * Go to "Options"
    * Select the "Debug" tab
    * Tick or Untick (depending on the game) the "Use Alternate DirectX Method" option.
    * Click "Done"

    Known problems:

       * Some G15 keyboards are sensitive to ESD (electrostatic discharges). Should the LCD display go blank and the LCD buttons become unresponsive, try stopping LCDMon.exe, the Logitech LCD monitor application (you can use CTRL + Media Stop Button to do this). LCDSirReal will detect that it's no longer running and start it again. Remove peripherals connected to the keyboard's USB ports. Consider contacting Logitech for a replacement keyboard.
       * The unread mail indicator (both in LCDSirReal and Logitech's bundled plug-in) may show an incorrect number of unread mails. This is a problem with the mail client. Microsoft Outlook is known to be very buggy. Try Mozilla Thunderbird. Also, see this link.
       * The TeamSpeak2 application can under stress break down with regard to it's IPC (inter-process communications) system. If this happens, LCDSirReal will show 'WAIT' in the TS2 slot. LCDSirReal will keep trying to reconnect indefinitely. To fix it immediately, restart the TeamSpeak2 application.
       * It should be noted that none of the above problems are caused by LCDSirReal; I'm just tired of answering questions regarding these issues in forums.
       * It may or may not work on Windows 2000 and below. Note that the Logitech G15 software itself lists Windows XP as a requirement.

    Before reporting a problem:

       * Make sure you are running Logitech's latest drivers. Hint: The "Update" button they provide doesn't work. Check their website.
       * Include the contents of the system.txt file in your problem report. Look for this file in My Documents\LCDSirReal.
       * Include the last few lines of the errors.txt file in your problem report. Look for this file in My Documents\LCDSirReal.

    Registering LCDSirReal:
    From version 2.7.0 forwards, LCDSirReal has a nag box. I'll keep 2.6.7 around for download for those who really, really hate nag boxes and can't afford the five euros. If you register, you'll receive a code to disable the nag box. The nag box always appears in the leftmost slot. It appears more frequently the longer you leave LCDSirReal running. After 10 hours of runtime, the nag box will be shown constantly. Restarting LCDSirReal resets this timer. Clicking the nag box button shows a donation text. Long-clicking opens the LCDSirReal home page.

    ***** IMPORTANT NOTE *****
    If you are playing COD4 or COD5, and are playing on a server with custom maps or any kind of mod, you MUST disable TeamSpeak Overlay during map changes.  Once the map is completely loaded, you can minimize your game and Enable TSO.  Once that map has ended (NOT ROUND, BUT MAP), you MUST minimize your game and disable TSO before the next map starts to load.  If you forget, you WILL get a DX error and your game WILL crash.

    You DO NOT need to disable TSO, during a map change, while playing on a pure, stock server in COD4 or COD5.
